Chase Parker is a plaintiffs’ trial lawyer at Maginnis Howard who represents clients in medical malpractice, wrongful death, and serious personal injury cases.

Chase has tried cases in state courts across the Southeast, including as first-chair trial counsel. He has handled cases from initial investigation through discovery, expert depositions, dispositive motions, mediation, trial, and appeal. He has also served as lead appellate counsel in state appellate courts and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Before joining Maginnis Howard, Chase represented businesses, manufacturers, property owners, and other defendants in complex civil litigation involving catastrophic injuries, products liability, medical and professional negligence, toxic torts, and commercial disputes. That work gave him firsthand experience with how defendants, insurers, lawyers, and experts investigate claims, challenge liability and causation, evaluate damages, and prepare for trial. He draws on that experience to identify defense issues early and develop the factual and expert record around them.

Many of Chase’s cases involve medicine, engineering, physics, or other technical subjects. He works closely with the underlying records, literature, and experts to understand what happened, why it happened, and which facts support or undermine the competing explanations.

Chase lives in Cary with his wife and son. Outside the office, he enjoys men’s league hockey, golf, and pickleball, and serves on the University of Tennessee Triangle Area Alumni Board.
