As we navigate the uncertain territory of adjusting to our new normalcy in the wake of COVID-19, it’s out top priority to ensure our firm and clients stay healthy and safe. In an unprecedented time you can never be too cautious or too prepared. Below are the steps we recommend for workplaces that are continuing to adjust to Phase 2 of North Carolina’s lifting stay-at-home order.
Provide Resources
With resources like masks and cleaning supplies in high demand, it’s important that a workplace ensure that their employees have proper protective equipment at the workplace – especially if they may be unable to obtain them on their own. Stock up on necessities that will provide safety and allow peace of mind for you and your employees.
Offer Flexibility
COVID-19 has impacted everyone individually. Oftentimes, you can’t immediately identify the situations that cause an individual to be more effected by the pandemic like preexisting conditions or at-risk family members. During this time, it’s important to have empathy for those around you, and to remind yourself that everybody’s situation is different. Offer flexibility like remote work or virtual consultations if possible, or a customized office situation that optimizes safety.
Follow Procedures
Create a plan to maintain a safe work environment that limits exposure risks and ensures your team and clients feel protected. This should include the CDC’s suggestions to wash hands frequently, avoid face touching, keep 6 feet of distance from each other, use masks or screenings, and disinfect surfaces often.
We’re eager to begin adjusting to more standard office procedures but acting with precaution and keeping safety in mind is our top priority. We will continue to offer virtual consultations via phone or video chat, and we’re dedicated to making our clients feel as protected as possible while working with us.
