Authorities are investigating the truck crash on Interstate 77 West of Charlotte that left 35-year-old Issac McClure of Rock Hill dead Sunday night.
State Troopers said two cars collided in the northbound lanes around 7:40 pm near Exit 9. Investigators said McClure was a passenger in one of the two vehicles that collided and was partially ejected.
Troopers said the crash happened when the two vehicles attempted to merge onto the interstate and collided. I-77 was mostly closed while NC Highway Patrol investigated, but reopened before midnight.
